Fare Share Food Bank is a non-profit and has been in operation since 1987; consistently providing food to needy families of Oakville. We are entirely supported by local individuals, schools, churches and businesses. We do not receive Government grants, nor have we had to actively fund raise to achieve our goals. We are totally run by volunteers; paying no salaries at any level.

Since Covid began, we have seen an exponential increase in clients. Pre Covid we had an average of 435 families a month. September just past we had 759, totalling 2355 individuals that needed our help.

Companies like yours have been instrumental in providing resources for us. In the last year, you were able to supply us with $13,900 worth of non-perishable goods; freeing up cash reserves to enable us to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, cheese and eggs for our families. We spend, on average, $10 a week on fresh produce per family, so were able to supply every one of our families for nearly 2 months due to your contributions
